If you’re someone who likes to wear smarter shirts a lot, weather they be for the office or just because you like to look smart, you may have found it challenging to find stylish shirts that work well when cycling.
Often shirts are made from restrictive materials like pure cotton and will ride up your back as you cycle.
But fortunately, some smart people have figured out that some people who ride bikes actually like to look good too, and have therefore created some very stylish cycling shirts for men all around the world.
In this guide, I’ve found three of the best cycling shirts for men in the UK and Europe, as well as three more shirts from the other side of the Atlantic. Of course, you can always order internationally, but this may lead to hefty delivery and customs charges.
First off, I’ll take a look at the top three stylish cycling shirts for men in the UK and Europe.
Cycling Shirts for Men (UK + Europe)
I’ve long-admired the Rapha Poplin Shirt, and now they’ve added a new shirt to their range, the Air Cotton Shirt.
This shirt has been designed for riding in hot city conditions, with its 100% cotton Jacquard weave not sticking to the skin to promote airflow around your body to keep you cool – acting like a base layer.
Of course, Rapha have perfected the fit for cyclists, while there’s also a natural anti-bacterial and wicking treatment that prevents your shirt kicking up a stink.
Rapha are a massive company too, so you can also get their gear Stateside if you wish.

Album Leo was a recent discovery of mine, and I was delighted to see the Budapest-based company are producing some seriously stylish cycling shirts.
Made from merino wool, the Album Leo range is still in its infancy with just three products available – but they look great and boast fantastic functionality for cycling.
As well as the fantastic material, Album Leo have followed the traditional Italian form, but also provide extra mobility and flexibility to cyclists. There’s also reflective detailing around the cuffs to improve your visibility at night.
The Album Leo range has been built with quality and functionality at the forefront, and they don’t half look bad either – as you can see in the pictures below.

I’ve become a bit obsessed with UNIQLO recently because they offer great looking clothes with decent cycling functionality for absurdly good prices.
The Easy Care shirt is one such great example. Available for less than £25 (!) this shirt offers plenty of stretch for cycling and is crease resistant. Indeed, if you really hate ironing (I’m with you) UNIQLO even have a specialist non-iron shirt – perfect for throwing in your bag.
Simply a very good shirt for cycling at an incredible price.

Cycling Shirts for Men (US + Canada)
I reviewed some Ministry of Supply dress shirts a couple of years ago and was impressed.
Functional shirts is what Ministry of Supply specialise in, so it should be no surprise to see that this shirt features “NASA-developed Phase Change materials” which means the shirt breathes 19x better than cotton.
The fit also offers completely flexibility of movement with its pique knit construction, while this shirt doesn’t need ironing and is machine washable. What more could you ask for?
