Waterproof TOMS – Keep Your Feet Dry and Cycle in Style

To find a good pair of durable shoes suitable for cycling on the road when it’s wet – that also look good for your coffee/lunch/dinner date –  is not an easy task, particularly in the rough and ready world of urban cycling.

When downpours come (and they inevitably do), there tends to be two options for your feet: wear overshoes/bags over your feet and look like a bit of an oddball OR get ‘orrible soggy feet. Yuck.

That is unless you get yourself some nice waterproof shoes.

And for urban cyclists, one (affordable) solution could be TOMS Waterproof Castlerock Grey Nubuck Men’s Chukka Boots.

Made with full-grain leather and featuring a gusset tongue to keep your feet dry, the shoe is as comfortable and practical as it is good to look at, thanks to a warm lining and a moulded footbed for breathable support.

There is new rubber on the outside for added durability and traction, but its real quality is that it wouldn’t look out of place in any stylish urban environment. You could hop off the pedals and head straight out onto the high street in the pouring rain looking ready for a night out, instead of sporting a clunky set of wellies looking ready for a hike in a field. A nice stiff sole also makes cycling in these stylish waterproof shoes a doddle.

You can currently snap these up at £47.50 on the TOMS website – reduced from £94.99. The added benefit of buying from TOMS is that they donate a new pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair you buy from them.

To endure wet and cold feet out and about is never OK… perhaps this stylish pair is all the urban cyclist really needs to avoid any puddle-induced pains whilst on the road.
