In Profile: Goodordering – the Good Cycling Bags
Launched in 2012 by fashion designer Jacqui Ma, East London-based Goodordering is one of several companies in the cycling fashion arena that got its big break thanks to Kickstarter.
Drawing inspiration from Japanese school bags, Scandinavian design and retro luggage, Jacqui’s bag designs – aimed at commuter cyclists – are certainly eye-catching and a real breath of fresh air. The bags are also water resistant – a big bike bonus!
Four initial bag designs were introduced following the initial successful campaign: a Handlebar Bag, Pannier, a Backpack and Market Shopper. And now, three years on, Jacqui’s hoping to secure some more funding with Kickstarter in order to launch another five designs in two extra colours.
The current Kickstarter campaign runs until the 31st May 2015, with £20,000 needed to get off the ground (nearly £7,000 has been pledged with 17 days to go). One of the great things with Kickstarter, though, is that you’re certainly not just donating money – you will be rewarded when you pledge – in this case with some great products.
