  1. Interesting – I’ve ridden in Hummvee shorts, and Zyme shorts for years. They’re well thought out, practical garments (little stuff like the pockets being stitched to they sit nicely on your thigh as you ride, or the zips closing downwards when your legs are in riding position).

(http://monkeyphotomcr.blogspot.co.uk/search?q=hummvee) – since I wrote that, I’ve bought another pair of Hummvees, and the problem with the velcro stitching on the rear pockets has been fixed.

I tend to get changed after I ride to work, but I’d definitely give these a look if I moved to a job where I couldn’t.

Those look nice. Shame Endura don’t do anything similar for us ladies! (The Hummvees are a disaster fit-wise and not smart-enough.)

    • Hi Rebecca,

Thanks for the comment. Is a shame more trousers aren’t available for ladies.

Have you seen the Union 34 women’s trousers? (review coming soon)

        Hi Stu

I looked them over at Velorution’s stand at the Excel show in January. Too “urban” i.e. not very polished. Did look slightly smarter than Swrve, though.

Looking forward to reading the review.

Hiya I am a rather large cyclist. I was wondering if the XXL size does indeed fit a 44″ girth! I am starting a new job in a couple of weeks and since it is only a 20 minute ride these would be perfect for cycling to work then wearing them all day at the office.

    • Hi Dave,

I’ve got no experience of the larger sizes I’m afraid. However according to their size guide XXL is for 42-44″ waists. The material is also very stretchy, so the Endura pants should be considerably more forgiving than other trousers if they are a little bit tight too.

Thanks Pete, I guess I will have to order a pair and suck it and see.

I like the look of the Enduras but their sizing doesn’t suit me. I have some Levi’s Commuter jeans, which are great, but they cost about 50% more than the Enduras.

I am looking for urban pants (& shorts) to ride to work as commuting attire. While many bicycling clothes are aimed at younger adult riders, as an older adult I do not want to look like I am attempting to ride the Tour de France everyday to work (aka lycra althou extremely comfortable). Tied into this interest one minor reality (I’ve been commuting for some time) is a padded liner REALLY helps older folks. Comfort, looks, pad. Whattaya got?

What size would you recommend for someone 5’9 – 5’10’sh and 150ish lbs? thanks
